I believe psychic abilities are a certain means access to information, but they are not a reflection of intention, wisdom or a vast perspective in relationship to that information. This page is intended to help us explore these three qualities together. In the spirit of inquiry, I’m opening up a few life questions that I thought would be fascinating to answer. I look forward to reading your responses. You can also read other people’s responses below. I will periodically highlight interesting answers and post links to thoughtful content that relates to each of these subjects, so visit the site often.
Perspective
We don’t really have a scale to measure the size of our perspective or outlook on life. But by looking at our past and seeing the trajectory of development, we can see that human perspective is indeed expanding and continues to expand. We can imagine primal man in the early days of creation being mainly focused on instinct and survival then developing the ability to think more abstractly, then learning more and more about cause and effect, creating more and more advanced social structures and innovations, and being able to include more and more knowledge about reality, allowing us to have an ever deepening sense of who we are and what our responsibilities might be on this planet. We can only intuit and project how much further our perspective will continue to expand. So, the important question is:
Intention
As our understanding of life matures and we evolve, our motivation and intention in life develops generally going from being self-centered and inwardly focused to encompassing a wider and wider circle of inclusion of others and care. No matter how far we’ve gone or where we believe we’ve come to, it’s revolutionary to contemplate what lies beyond it.
Wisdom
Over the course of history wisdom has meant different things at different stages in the development of civilizations. In early civilizations, perhaps a wise person was someone who was in touch with the earth, had insights into how best to survive, hunt, and deal with injuries or disease. As societies developed, how we defined wisdom expanded to include more depth about who we are and why we here.
